Urgent situations
Inspection at your door? You are not on your own.
The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI) will ask for the technical documentation, the declaration of conformity and evidence of testing. We go through what exists for the product, supply the missing documents and prepare an expert statement for dealing with the inspectors.
What we do
Three steps we treat as a priority
- A quick review of what the documentation must contain and what is missing from it.
- Adding the risk assessment, standards and test reports retrospectively for an existing product.
- Expert support in dealing with the surveillance authority.
The sooner you get in touch, the more room there is to supply the documents within the deadline the authority has set.
The authorityIn the Czech Republic, general product safety is supervised by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI).
PenaltiesUnder Czech Act No. 387/2024 Coll., fines for some offences can reach up to CZK 50 million.
The usual problemThe declaration of conformity exists, but the technical file it rests on does not.
