Who is behind this
Jaroslav Křepelka
A specialist in the certification of electrical apparatus, machinery and products. Together with a small team of specialists we advise on certification, harmonised standards and testing.
Where it comes from
I gained most of my experience certifying electrical apparatus classified as medical devices and in vitro diagnostic devices. Over the course of my career I have also worked on projects for consumer electronics and the automotive industry.
I started out after completing a master's degree in electronics at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, as an electronics developer for medical devices. I was fortunate enough to work in a purely Czech company, where the rules were not set by owners on the other side of the world.
Later, as head of development, I was responsible for the certification of medical devices — a field that has gone through turbulent change in recent years. Certification included product testing, which we carried out in our own laboratories, including testing and optimising devices for electromagnetic compatibility.
Why we prepare documentation this way
Working as a developer showed me how important it is to prepare for certification while development is still being planned. That approach avoids expensive and awkward modifications once the product is finished. It also taught me not only to assess conformity documentation, but to create it.
Over time I found that most products on the market do not have their documentation in order — and I decided to help manufacturers with that. Which is why you are on these pages.
My goal is that your documentation not only demonstrates compliance with the applicable legal requirements, but above all helps improve your product. We do not try to be the cheapest provider on the market; what matters to us is that the client ends up with complete documentation proving conformity and with feedback on the product.
